The Barneveld-Brigham Fire Department consists of about 24 volunteers providing services to the citizens and visitors to our community.  The department’s mission is to protect the lives and property of residents and visitors to Barneveld, Brigham, and offer mutual aid to the surrounding communities.

Our core operating philosophy is similar to that of many departments in the area:
  • We are an asset of our community by providing everyone with a valuable service
  • The department is a service our citizens invest in every year through their tax dollars and donations
  • We are a unique investment which most people hope they never have to use
  • If we are needed, we will be there for them in any way we can to protect our citizens, visitors, and their property

Our volunteers have taken it upon themselves to be the best firefighters they can by continued training and education offered through various colleges in the area.  Without the devotion of these volunteers, the department simply could not function and are considered the backbone of the department.
